5. Protests.


If any owner has a disagreement with something that occurs in or around a particular game, he may file a protest with the league office, the deadline being a week after this particular game. This procedure then follows:

A. The Commissioner shall appoint a 5-man committee, comprising team owners, but not those involved in the particular protest.

B. The committee shall appoint a chairperson.

C. The committee will study the protest, taking consideration of both sides.

D. The committee will render a decision on the matter. The decision by the committee will be a final one unless one of the owners in dispute can prove new evidence. Then the Commissioner shall decide if this evidence warrants a change or not in the decision.



6. Miscellaneous

A. Each team shall play each other at least once during the season. Schedules will be drawn up and then voted on at a DNFL meeting.

(2004 revision) 1. During weeks 1, 2, 7, 8, 12, and 14, teams will play other teams in their own division.


B. Rules, arguments, etc. will be discussed by the league and voted on if necessary by the owners. Each owner shall have one vote.

C. Standings, results, trades, and all other league business will be posted by the earliest Tuesday after the games.

D. A committee of owners will be formed to investigate any problems arising out of any decision by the Executive Council.

7. Franchise by-laws

A. The DePaulia National Football League shall consist of 12 teams, playing the first 14 games of the National Football League schedule.

B. The remaining two regular season NFL games shall be the DNFL playoffs:

1. The first game consisting of the semi-finals.
2. The second game being the finals, i.e., the DNFL Bowl.

C. The DNFL will be divided into three divisions: The East, West, and Midwest, evenly.

1. The East Division also shall be called the Kipp Division. The Midwest Division also shall be called the Johnston Division. The West Division also shall be called the Przepiorka Division.

(2004 revision)
a. The West Division no longer shall be called the Przepiorka Division, but shall be called the Tomaszewski Division.

D. Each DNFL team will play each team at least once, with the division members meeting twice.

E. If any owner leaves or is expelled from the DNFL, a new one must be found to take over that franchise to keep 12 teams.

F. If no new owner is found by draft and season time, a committee, comprising three members: the Commissioner, another member from the Executive Council, and an owner each representing a division, will run the team until a new owner is found. The committee shall have a chairman and each member one vote. Distribution of power will be deemed by the committee.

2. If no new owner is found, the Executive Council, with the approval of the league, shall appoint a general manager to run the team.
