Jim "Tomo" Tomaszewski, brother of Len, took over the Lower Niles Vultures in 1985 and turned the team into one of the league's
powerhouses. Tied with St. Croix/East Troy for the best record in the DNFL Bowl at 5-1, the Vultures are second only to Pittsburgh
for the best won-loss percentage in league history, and have scored the most points of any DNFL team. Tomo's 2003 Vultures set the
record for points scored in a DNFL Bowl at 81, and in a regular-season game in 2004 the Vultures set the all-time single game
scoring record with 97.
Tomo has earned the All M*A*S*H Award; was part of the group discussing the 2005 Chicago White Sox for the Best Argument Award;
and won Collusion of the Year Award with his buddy John Perkins; Decision of the Year; Goof of the Year; the Hey, Who Put the
Nickel in Him? Award; the Jim Johnston Memorial Wang Award; the Steve Hudomiet Owner of the Year Award; the Len Tomaszewski Most
Moves Award; and the Worst Usage of Regular Job Award.
An all-time DNFL moment, one that Pro Football Weekly actually wrote about, was when Tomo tried to pose as Ken Carrano to
make a change on Ken's roster. Tomo also is in the Hall of Fame for the golf club for draft choice trade.
