Len Tomaszewski

"The Commissioner," Len Tomaszewski originated the DNFL, getting the idea as he read a football magazine while in the bathroom, later known as the "Hall of Fame," in his Niles home. For years, Len ran the DNFL without a computer, cutting out every NFL box score every week and totalling all DNFL scores by hand. Len originated most of the DNFL's rules and had them all in his head; when finally compiled, they totalled nine pages, single spaced.

Len is in the DNFL Hall of Fame several times: he himself was inducted in 1990; in 1992, his being dumped as Commissioner for a half-hour was inducted; in 2003, his quarter-century of commissionorial excellence was inducted; in 2004, his obsession with Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy) was honored; in 2006, his article "To Run Again" was inducted; and in 2008, the league remembered him for running amok.

Len passed away in 2003, leaving detailed instructions on how the league was to continue, which it does to this day.
