Mike Soriano

Mike Soriano took over the Altoona A-Rays in 1990, purchasing the team from Jim Lachowicz for $5, and had an immediate impact. The team finished first in its division for the first time in eight years, and went to the DNFL Bowl, only to lose to East Troy on a tiebreaker. After keeping the team in Altoona for three years, Mike moved it to Windsor in 1993. Mike has taken the Windsor Dancers to the DNFL Bowl twice, winning in 2001 and losing in 2006. Decatur was the Dancers' opponent both times, which is appropriate since Mike and Bill Bike have been DNFL co-commissioners since 2003 at Len Tomaszewski's bequest.

Mike has gotten the All-M*A*S*H Award; shared in the Best Argument Award; Collusion Award; Best Non-Move of the Year; Penthouse to Outhouse Award; Owner of the Year; and Webmaster of the Year. The You Know, I've Always Got Mike in Chicago Award is named for him. Also, the Soriano Anti-Tank Rule is name after him.

Mike and Bill's first year as co-commissioners made the Hall of Fame in 2005.
